Step By Step Guide To Grocery Savings

I’ve written a few posts that are designed to help you save money on groceries, so I thought I would provide a very brief and basic summary:
- Buy Low… Eat for Months
The biggest way to save money on groceries is to only buy items when they hit their rock bottom prices, and to stock up on these items. If you buy enough to last you through to the next sale, you will never again have to run in and pay full price for Spaghetti Sauce for a last minute meal. This also reduces trips to the store which saves gas and prevents impulse buys (a further drain on money). For a beginners guide to stockpiling, click here
- Take Advantage of Freebies and Amazing Deals
By thinking a bit outside-the-box (aka not buying everything at your local Stop ‘N Shop or even Bulk Warehouse Store) you can save big bucks. Often, you can even get things for free (especially if you combine manufacturers coupons with store sales.) Drug stores, obviously a great place to get free health and beauty items, are often overlooked as sources of possibly free groceries. For Guides to CVS, click Here and Here.
